Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Grant Henriksen Memorial Fund is once again hosting the Children’s Activity Area at the upcoming U.P. Builders Show at the Superior Dome in Marquette.
The fund’s co-founders, Greg Dix and Tracy Henriksen, joined the Sunny Morning Show to talk about the children’s area and why they are involved.
Dix said the area is set up for kids who attend the show with their parents to enjoy arts and craft kids have come to love, including balloon animals, giant Legos, Lincoln Logs, WikiStix and face painting!
Henriksen said their involvement in hosting the area is not so much a fundraiser, but an awareness event to let people know about the Grant Henriksen Memorial Fund and how it can help U.P. families with the financial burdens of having a child with cancer who requires treatments and surgeries outside of the area.
The U.P. Builders Show is coming up March 8-10, 2019 at the NMU Superior Dome in Marquette.
