Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Renovations to the Peter White Public Library in Marquette are slated to begin this spring.
Library Director Andrea Ingmire joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike this week to talk about some of the planned work.
Ingmire said one of the focuses of the project is a major renovation of the lower level of the library that will impact youth services, the Marquette Arts & Culture Center and usage of the Community Room.
She also explained that the other part of the effort will be renovations and repairs to the exterior of the 1904 building, which faces Front Street.
Ingmire said that contractor bids are currently being gathered and reviewed, and the projected start date for the work is May 1st.
