Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – NICE Community Schools Superintendent Bryan DeAugustine recently testified in Lansing concerning a measure authored by State Senator Tom Casperson.
DeAugustine joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to talk about the testimony he gave concerning Michigan Senate Bill 390, which seeks to earmark a portion of specific iron mine tax revenue to local Intermediate School Districts.
He shared what information he presented to committee members about the bill, which would allocate $500,000 of the annual revenue from a tax imposed on low grade iron ore to the local intermediate school district where the mine is located.
