UP 200 & Midnight Run Sled Dog Races Coming Soon!

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Upper Peninsula Sled Dog Association is moving along with preparations for the UP 200 and the Midnight Run sled dog races.

UPSDA Board Member Ross Anthony joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to give an update on how things are coming together.

Anthony said that musher registrations for both races are up this year and it’s looking to be a great weekend.

He said that the annual starting ceremonies are set for 6:30 pm Friday, February 16th in Downtown Marquette with the first UP 200 sled do team out of the gate at 7:00pm.

The Midnight Run will also start in Downtown Marquette at 8:30 p.m. that night.

Anthony said the UPSDA is still looking for volunteers for many jobs during the race weekend and anyone interested can find out more at the UPSDA website at www.up200.org.
