131st Annual Ski Jumping Tournament Coming To Suicide Bowl This Month

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The Ishpeming Ski Club is presenting the 131st Annual Suicide Ski Hill Ski Jumping Tournament on Tuesday, January 23rd.

Gary Rasmussen, Chief of Competition at the tournament, joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to invite everyone to the longest consecutively running ski jumping tournament in the country.

Rasmussen said US and International ski jumpers will defy gravity as they soar off of the historic 90 meter Suicide Ski Bowl ski jump in Negaunee.

He said the tournament will begin with trial runs starting at 6:00 pm.

Rasmussen said it’s a family friendly, fun for all event with tailgating, concessions and bonfires while watching the jumpers compete, and a fireworks display at the conclusion of the tournament.
