Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio) – Northern Michigan University currently has over 300 student organizations on campus.

This time around on Wildcat Wednesday, we talked with Hannah Lewis, Assistant Director of the Center for Student Enrichment to find out more about these groups and what they do.

Lewis said the student organizations run the gamut from fraternities and sororities to intramural sports clubs to the campus media.

She said they give students excellent opportunities to learn leadership and social skills that don’t always develop in a classroom setting.

Lewis also said that the programs and activities put forth by the student organizations serve to benefit and enrich both the campus and the Marquette community as a whole.
