Documentary On Monks In The Keweenaw Premieres In Marquette This Weekend

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – A a full-length documentary on the life of Byzantine Catholic Monks living in Upper Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula will have it’s premiere this weekend in Marquette.

The film, “Gladsome Light”, be shown Saturday at 11:00 am at the Marquette Cinemas on Commerce Drive.

The film’s co-directors, Jeffrey Geniesse and Dustin Katona, founders of the Marquette Cinema Coalition, joined The SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike to talk about the film and it’s creation.

The duo explained how the film captures the lives and story of the men who settled near Jacob’s Falls in 1983 and shows many aspect of the life they have chosen.

They also gave information about how you can see the film online or get a copy of it if you cannot attend the premiere.
