Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – “Waiting For Wiig”, an independent short film shot at locations around Marquette County with a cast of local talent has it’s Irontown Premiere tonight.

The film’s producer/director and diffident subject, Steven Wiig, and the film’s producer/screenwriter, Kyle Hulkonen, joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to talk the showing of the film tonight in Negaunee.

Wiig, shared the story about how he served as the inspiration for the script about three guys waiting on a friend, and ultimately took on the mantle of the film’s director.

Hulkonen talked about how the story continued to evolve and what it’s like to see the film finally on screen.

“Waiting for Wiig” has it’s Marquette County premiere tonight at the historic Vista Theater in downtown Negaunee at 7:30pm.

It also has a showing tomorrow night at the Country Village Cinema V in Ishpeming at 7:30pm.

Both showings will be followed by a question and answer session with the cast and crew, and a celebratory reception.
