Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Upper Peninsula Honor Flight, a local hub of the National Honor Flight Network, is preparing to send out their next flight this week.

Scott Knauf, President of Upper Peninsula Honor Flight, called in to the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike this morning to talk about the latest flight and how people can get involved with the program.

Knauf said they are flying Upper Peninsula WWII and Korean veterans to Washington, D.C. this Wednesday morning from the Delta County Airport to see the memorials that stand in their honor.

He said the program is at no cost to the veteran with airfare, meals, deluxe tour bus, t-shirt and other items all provided to the veteran.

Knauf added that there are many opportunities for people or businesses to volunteer or sponsor future flights, and this is a great way to pay tribute to those who gave so much.
