Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – An effort to prevent crime in local communities is coming to Marquette County early next month.

The Neighbors Night Out is an effort that encourages communities to hold block parties, barbecues or other safe, alcohol-free parties so people can get to know their neighbors and their law enforcement officers.

Marquette County Undersheriff Mike Klein and Rich Johnson with the Forsyth Township Police and Marquette County TRIAD joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to talk about the effort and some of the community events planned for the first week of August.
