The AVTT Traveling Vietnam Wall

Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – The AVTT Traveling Vietnam Wall is coming to Marquette later today for a stop that runs through Sunday.

Jim Provost, Chair of the Marquette County Veterans Alliance, and Will Weycker, Primary Planner for the Traveling Wall Project in Marquette, recently joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike to talk about the wall and the activities planned for the week.

They explained that the wall is an 80-percent replica of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, DC and is the largest reproduction in the United States.

The wall is being set up on the Northern Michigan University campus in the northeast parking area of the Superior Dome and they say this is the largest veterans’ event in Marquette County history.

They added that scheduled special daily ceremonies and events are open to the public to honor the fallen in Vietnam.
