Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Greg Zyburt, Democratic candidate for Marquette County Sheriff, joined the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike today to talk about his campaign and why he is running for Sheriff.

Zyburt, currently the Chief of Police in Marquette County’s Chocolay Township, said 36 years of active service in law enforcement in Marquette County and the many interesting people and situations he has encountered lead him to run for Sheriff.

He said funding for programs to benefit the county is one of the big issues he hopes to tackle if elected.

Zyburt said with an extensive background in grant writing, he would use those skills to get money to fund various programs.

He also said his 36 years of experience includes 31 years at the administrative level that makes him the best choice for the job.
