Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Education related majors have been at the core of Northern Michigan University since it was founded as a college to educate teachers in 1899.

Joe Lubig, Associate Dean and Department Head of the School of Education, Leadership and Public Service, joined us for Wildcat Wednesday to talk about NMU’s current education related programs.

Lubig explained that the undergraduate and graduate programs at NMU prepare students to become professional educators and leaders outside of the classroom.

He added that small classes with experienced faculty, combined with special teaching experiences, allow NMU’s latest education related programs to live up to their longstanding reputation as some of the best in the country.
