Marquette, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – 110th District State Representative Scott Dianda stopped by the SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike this week to talk about legislation related to the Michigan Tax Tribunal and the dark stores controversy.
The Calumet Democrat said that recent advances through the committee process in Lansing of legislation addressing the taxation formulas is a good sign, but there is more work to be done.
Dianda said if the legislation is not passed soon, the election season will begin and the issue will not be picked up by lawmakers.
He added that the issue is gaining increased traction among lawmakers from across the state in both parties due to the wide reach of funding impacts the continued use of the flawed formulas has created.
