MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Michigan Lt. Governor Brian Calley is touring across Upper Michigan this week, visiting several communities and meeting with residents.
As the Lt. Governor prepared to begin his journey this week, he called in to The SUNNY Morning Show with Walt & Mike to preview the trip and discuss politics in Lansing.
Calley discussed portions of hi planned itinerary before chatting for a few minutes about the FY 2014 budget for the State of Michigan as recently signed into law by Governor Rick Snyder.
The Lt. Governor said the budget continued the promise put forth by the Governor that the annual budgeting process would be fair and equitable and would produce a budget in a timely manner.
He also addressed the need for a budget to be produced in a manner that allows the various state departments to fund their operations for the future with a secure funding source.
