MARQUETTE, MI – (Great Lakes Radio News) – Republican Congressman Dan Benishek joined the SUNNY 101.9 Morning Show today to discuss the latest developments on the federal budget and need for action on the Farm Bill.
Benishek spoke about the federal funding being worked out before any drastic measures would be taken in terms of a federal shutdown or stopping of any federal programs.
He did also admit that as an incumbent member of the House currently on the campaign trail seeking re-election that it is a difficult balance between getting work done in Washington and meeting with constituents in the home district.
Congressman Benishek also discussed action on the Farm Bill and what needs to be done for action on the bill.
