Marquette Royales Hockey Team Dominated St. Louis, Missouri Frontenacs with a 9 – 0 Shutout

MARQUETTE, MICHIGAN October 11, 2013 – The Marquette Royales Hockey Team continued its dominance tonight over the St. Louis, Missouri Frontenacs with a 9 – 0 shutout. The Royales have now won 9 straight games and Head Coach Mike Stanaway was pleased with the team’s performance.

A 5 goal first period was capped off with Austin Lawless’ (Colorado Springs, CO) first goal of the season. The Royales speed, crisp passing, and sharp play execution overwhelmed the Frontenacs from the start.

Tonight’s game was the first time adult beverages were available to the public and sales were brisk.

Royales fans were treated by an impromptu cheering section from Northern Michigan University… affectionatley known as the “Puck Heads”. One Royales fan had some advice for hockey fans that have yet to attend a Royales game.

The Royales go for 10 in a row tomorrow night against the visiting Frontenacs. The puck drops at 7:30 pm.
