12/30/14 Manistique, Michigan – The Negaunee Miners Boys Basketball team traveled to Manistique, Michigan on this cold winter night to face the Manistique Emeralds. Carl Leander Johnson, the voice of the Negaunee Miners and Jesse Anderson were the to bring you all the exciting action on Sunny.FM.
The Manistique Emeralds were the first to put points on the board tonight against the the Negaunee Miners to take a 2-0 lead. The Negaunee Miners had a slow start, but answered back and took a 7-2 lead against the Emeralds with 5 minutes left in the first quarter. The Negaunee Miners ended the first quarter with a commanding 10 point lead 20-10 against the Manistique Emeralds on Sunny.FM.
The Negaunee Miners continued to out score the Manistique Emeralds early in the second quarter to lead 24-10, with 6 minutes left in the first half. The Negaunee Miners opened up a huge 17 point lead against the Emeralds 29-12 with second quarter halfway over. The Negaunee Miners were on fire in the second quarter and held the Emeralds to only 4 points and took a 27 point lead 41-14 to end the first half.
The Negaunee Miners were first to have the ball in the third quarter and increased their lead 45-12 in the first minutes of the second quarter. The Manistique Emeralds continued to struggle against the Negaunee Miners and trailed by 32 points 48-16 midway through the third quarter in Manistique, Michigan. The Manistique Emeralds ended the third quarter trailing 52-24 against the Negaunee Miners.
The Negaunee Miner continued to keep a commanding lead 54-25 against
the Manistique Emeralds early in the fourth quarter. The Negaunee Miners Boys Basketball dominated this basketball game and won 64-29 against the Manistique Emeralds on Sunny.FM.
