Friday night down at Upfront & Company was some great local music from Marquette’s own The Chanteymen and The Door Cats, as well as Pioneer Parade from Norway Michigan.
Three piece The Door Cats were up first for the night playing some beautiful folky tunes. I honestly loved the cover of Radiohead’s “High and Dry” they did. Second up was Pioneer Parade playing a set that sounded much larger than what three people were playing.
Lastly was The Chanteymen, who remain my favorite band in Marquette right now. Only a few bands can bring pure joy to me when I see them live, and they are one of those bands that do that. It’s extremely good dynamic rock and roll and if you want you can actually listen to them online here.
