Marquette, Michigan – Our very own Lauren Bareiss and Joe Mueller join Todd Pazz on the 8th Day Radio show to discuss the UP 200 and Bike Racing Season. Photographer Lauren talks about the UP 200 she covered Friday with better weather than the previous year. In studio Joe Mueller, outdoors man and cross-country skier talked about their experiences with the UP 200 and other races.
The starting ceremonies were set for 6:30 p.m. in Downtown Marquette with the first UP 200 sled dog team out of the gate at 7:00 p.m. The Midnight Run will also start in Downtown Marquette at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, 18 teams will meet at First Baptist Church in Gwinn for the start of the Jack Pine 30, a 25 mile race around Gwinn and Sands Station area.
