Marquette, Michigan – December 1st – Mark Johnson reflected on his award in 2017 for having been a long-time blood donor. He was recognized for his efforts by the United States Congress. He hopes his story will encourage others to donate.
He was honored in 2017 at the U.P. Regional Blood Center in Marquette for donating blood for over 35 years. He feels his efforts to donate are not a burden and provides others so much for so little effort on his part. Helping those in need motivates his efforts, not the unexpected recognition or award.
