Land Use Planning is a collaborative process that aims to improve the quality of life of people and theircommunity by creating more convenient, equitable, efficient, and attractive places for present and future generations to live, work and play. Civic leaders, businesses, and citizens can have a meaningful role in creating a community that enriches people’s lives, by defining a common vision. Quality planning aims to create communities that offer more choices for where and how people live. Planning also assists in achieving a sustainable balance of new development, essential services, environmental protections, recreational opportunities, and innovative design.
