The 8th Day with Todd Paz

Baraga, MichiganOctober 28, 2016 – With Halloween right around the corner, festivities celebrating the holiday are in full force.  One of the events that captures the spirit of Halloween is Boo on the Bay in Baraga. Susan Rasch, the coordinator for Boo on the Bay, stopped by the 8th Day to talk to Todd Paz about the event.

Boo on the Bay is a family event that has tons of fun activities for everyone! Children and parents alike dress in costumes to celebrate Halloween and enjoy the event.  This is the 5th year Boo on the Bay has taken place.  According to Rasch, it started small with just trick or treating and wagon rides.  But every year the event has grown and they’ve added something fun and new.  This year they have added a mechanical bull to the fun to go along with pony rides, a bouncy house, and a bunch of great games! There is something fun to do on every corner.

Rasch claims that the event impact goes much farther than just getting people to enjoy Halloween.  Since the event takes place in downtown Baraga, it plays a role in stimulating the local economy.  Rasch claims that people are introduced or reintroduced to businesses in the downtown area that participate in the event.  Boo on the Bay is a winner for Halloween fun.
