The 8th Day with Todd Paz

Calumet, MichiganOctober 25, 2016 – Cody Schmidt from the Missoula Children’s Theatre joined the 8th Day to talk with Todd Paz about the Theatre’s showing of Rumplestiltskin at the Calumet Theatre.

Missoula Children’s Theatre is a traveling theatre program that puts on popular plays which put local children as the actors.  The theatre’s shows involve local children grades K-12 who put together the entire show in a weeks time. Missoula Children’s Theatre travels through all 50 states as well as 17 countries world-wide. The theatre has 10 or 11 teams traveling at all times with each team producing a different show.

The local showing for Rumplestiltiskin saw 91 local children audition, the most that Schmidt can remember, with 60 being chosen for roles in the show. According to Schmidt, the kids auditioned Monday and had the show ready to be performed by Friday.  This is the 9th year that the Calumet Theatre has hosted the Missoula Children’s Theatre.
