Marquette, MI – April 23rd, 2016 – Todd Paz was joined on the 8th Day recently by Laura Miller and Marshall Weathersby of the Calumet Theatre in Calumet, MI to discuss the recent Keweenaw Brewgrass acoustic concert.
Keweenaw Brewgrass is a five piece, all-acoustic band that was formed from people throughout the Upper Peninsula. For their show at the Calumet Theatre on April 30th, they were joined by a few special guests! Gail English is a local vocalist in Calumet that took part in the show, and the band also welcomed a 12-year old fiddle player named Kora Johnson to their lineup for the event.
It was a night filled with great acoustic music, and it was all thanks to the Calumet Theatre, and the unique concert was possible thanks to the interesting architecture of the theatre. The large, open hall is a perfect place to take in acoustic music, and Keweenaw Brewgrass didn’t disappoint. Tickets were just $10 per person, and all of the money from the concert went to renovations for the Calumet theatre.
