The starting line for the 2018 UP200
Getting the first sled ready to race!
People lied the Washington from 4th all the way down the Lakeshore Dr!
We had an incredible turn out for the UP200 this year.
The first sled team is out of the gates!
These dogs are ready to run.
The teams come from all over the country.
The Midnight run is up next.
There were 18 teams registered to run into night's race.
The UP200 is one of the top mid distance dog sled races in the world.
There goes another team.
This race goes all the way to Grand Marais and back.
This is the 28th year of the UP200.
Walt Lindala did a great job emceeing tonight.
The cold weather didn't keep the crowd away.
These dogs are ready to run.
You can catch the Jack Pine 30 tomorrow at 10am.
This U.P. traditional is one anyone can enjoy.
Washington Street was packed with people.
Everyone seemed to be having a great time.
The crowd ran cow bells as the dogs ran by.
