Marquette, MI December 1, 2016 – One of our favorite holiday traditions here at the radio station is our annual Christmas is for Veterans drive. Each year we reach out to all of our listeners and ask that you pick up something for our veterans while out shopping for your families.

Super One Foods of Marquette and Negaunee is sponsoring this year’s Christmas is for Veterans, and you will find brightly wrapped donation boxes at their stores along with a wish list of items for our local veterans. You can also pick up a wish list and drop items off at our station offices in Marquette.

Pick up an item or two from the list and just drop it in one of the donation boxes. We’ll take care of it from there, making sure your gifts find their way to the veterans at the D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans. We’ll be bringing the gifts over to the veterans for a special Christmas celebration on Friday, December 23rd at 10 am.

Join us this year as we remember our veterans at Christmastime. For more information, stop by the Great Lakes Radio office or call us at 906-228-6800. Merry Christmas!

What Are You Looking for This Christmas?

Marquette, MI December 1, 2016 – Here it is December 1st and I haven’t even started my Christmas shopping. Every year someone tells me I’m crazy for waiting so long to start my shopping. Sometimes I even think about getting my Christmas shopping done early next year, but every year I wait until the middle of December to start shopping!

A member of the Great Lakes Radio family since 2013, Nancy can be found working in the web department and helping write scripts for production. When not hard at work writing and editing, if this Sriracha enthusiast isn't experimenting in her kitchen, she can usually be found with her nose in a book or in front of a computer keeping up with her favorite blogs, researching topics for future articles, and playing World of Warcraft... FOR THE HORDE! (BattleTag: GingrMadness#1559)

Nancy's days of chasing little ones around are over for now, but she looks forward to chasing her brand new grandson Liam Michael around (and spoiling him absolutely rotten)!

Always in search of a good red and a great read (or a great red and a mediocre read), Nancy welcomes your suggestions on either.
