Marquette, MI  –  July 26, 2016  –  On your mark, Get Set, GO!!!!

We had an amazing time at 17th Annual Quake On The Lake Inboard Hydroplane Race on Pontiac Lake in Waterford, MI on July 23-24, 2016. This race has the feel of a WWF Smack-Down with the best Grand Prix drivers from the northeast and northwest battling it out for their place in the record books. The Hyrdroplanes are the large boats –12’ wide, built of lightweight composite materials and weigh-in at around 2,900 pounds.
The Hydroplanes were amazingly and the drivers are extraordinary. It takes two people to drive hydroplanes, one on the throttle and the other steering.

Its a race for any spectator and definitely worth the drive down to Waterford! The town itself is full of family friendly beaches, as well as lots of restaurants just waiting to fill your culinary taste.

A special thanks to Bob Dustman and the entire board of directors for giving our staff VIP pit passes.

Also Congrats to Bobby Kennedy for setting the 22nd fastest World Record for Quake on the Lake!
