Marquette, MI  –  July 11,  2016  –  On your mark, Get set, PADDLE! I had a wonderful day last week on the beautiful historic Teal Lake in Negaunee MI for the Lion’s Club “Teal Lake Paddle”.

The weather was 70 and sunny, and one of my favorite restaurants in town was at on top of lunch for the day! With Border Grill catering the event and amazing weather, it was sure to be the start of an fun day! All of the paddlers were out there having fun on Teal Lake with people manning everything from canoes to kayaks to  paddle boards and more!
There were many races going on through the day with the overall winner being Steve Goddard, who attended the 6 mile kayak race.  Steve was followed by  Jeremy Vone who came in second, and Tim Scoutman in third. The female winner of the overall was Leslie Hurst with Rachel Scoutman winning second!
If you didn’t make it out this year, make sure to come for next year’s event!
Tell us about your time at the Teal Lake Paddle or your favorite highlight about Pioneer Days!
