Catch the Christmas Spirit!

Marquette TownshipDecember 2, 2013 – Marquette Township received its Christmas tree this morning and it’s set up in front of The Westwood Mall just waiting for Santa to throw the switch at tomorrow’s tree lighting ceremony!

The festivities start at 6 p.m. tomorrow near Applebee’s in the mall parking lot. The Marquette Redmen Chorale will be singing Christmas Carols to help everyone “Catch the Christmas Spirit” and Santa himself will start the countdown to light the township tree.

The Grinch threatened to steal Christmas from the township, so the Marquette County Sheriff’s Department will also be there to keep Christmas safe! If you come down to Applebee’s before the singing starts, you might find the GRINCH sneaking around!

FREE hot cocoa, apple juice and cookies will also be served, compliments of The Westwood Mall and Super One Foods. There will also be tractor-drawn hayrides and photos with Santa in the mall.

Come on down to The Westwood Mall tomorrow night and help Marquette Township celebrate the spirit of Christmas with the lighting of the township Christmas tree! For more information, go to the Marquette Township Business Association’s website.
