Bobby Norfolk engages kids with interactive educational storytelling

Marquette, MI – 6/17/13Entering the Community Room at the Peter White Library today between 2 and 3, you would first hear the lovely peals of children’s laughter, then you would be drawn in yourself to the object of their rapt attention.

Bobby Norfolk, three-time Emmy award-winning storyteller, teaching artist, and children’s author, performed at the library today. He will return tonight for another performance at 7 p.m.

Norfolk told his favorite folk stories interactively to a room full of children (and adults) who were not afraid to get silly with him–clapping, snapping, participating in call-and-response, and having a great time.

Tonight, Norfolk will present as part of his living history program, George Washington Carver: Scientist, Educator and Humanitarian. This educational performance will be fun for children of all ages and is completely free of charge (donations to PWPL for providing the event are appreciated).
